Project Overview
Schouten Excavating completed heavy civil, site servicing, and under-
ground infrastructure works for the expansion of the Denis St. Pierre
Water Pollution Control Plant. The scope included site preparation,
demolition of existing infrastructure, bulk and structural excavation,
and installation of underground utilities.
Project Scope:
Due to the dense underground infrastructure and integration with new
plant structures, the work required precise excavation, grading, and
installation of process piping, structural foundations, and utility corridors. Schouten executed the underground and site works with careful
coordination between civil, structural, and mechanical trades to ensure
accurate alignment of piping systems, proper trench preparation, and
engineered backfilling to support long-term plant operations. All work
was completed within an active treatment plant environment, requiring
strict safety controls and coordination with ongoing plant operations.
Various auxiliary building were demolished to make way for excavation
and new piping and services to support the new control plant
