Schouten was contracted to provide hazardous materials abatement and infection control services (IPAC) to 6 locations involving heavy mechanical demolition and upgrades to the hospital heating sys- tems. Abatement consisted on Type 3 abatement of firespray, insula- tion and plaster materials in various location to allow for new boilers and heating piping to be installed. Project also required afterhours work to accommodate the boiler system shutdown and install to limit any down time to the hospital systems
